DOSSIER is a free daily word game. Every day at midnight a new document — a proverb, a famous quote, a movie line, a book opening — arrives with every letter hidden behind redaction ink. Your job: declassify enough of it to work out the text, then solve it before three wrong guesses burn the file.
1 — BUY LETTERS
You start with 100 CLEARANCE points. Tap a letter to buy it — every copy of it in the document opens at once. Common letters cost the most:

Every file opens with free letters from our informant — one on easy days, up to three on the hard ones. Buying a letter that isn't in the file still costs you: an absent letter is information too.
2 — CRACK THE TEXT
Think you know it? Hit SUBMIT FOR REVIEW and type only the missing letters — the cursor skips everything you already own. A wrong solve earns a DENIED stamp and costs 10 clearance. Three stamps and the document BURNS. Solve it and a bonus question asks you to identify the source.

STREAKS, MERCY AND BRAGGING RIGHTS
Consecutive solves build a streak. One BURN NOTICE a month forgives a failed solve — the document is lost, the streak survives. A missed day still resets it. After each game you can share a spoiler-free result card, see how your score stands against everyone who played today, and optionally claim a codename to appear on the day and streak leaderboards. No email, no account required — anonymous play is the default.
